Our benefice is looking for a new priest-in-charge.

We are located on the border of North Wales in the beautiful Shropshire countryside, yet are only an hour’s drive from the shops & cultural amenities of Birmingham. Our benefice is composed of 5 well-integrated parishes, 4 of which have been linked for 35 years, & we are well used to cooperating & working together. We have recently completed the process of preparing for Covenanted Ministry & hope to set up our Team in the very near future.

We are a group of small parishes with a total population of 2000 and just entering an interregnum.  We are keeping everything up to date, and preparing to consolidate our benefice profile, ready for circulating to potential candidates. We are looking forward to welcoming potential priests interested in our beautiful rural corner of Shropshire.

 St Mary's Knockin is a Church of England Church and is part of the joint benefice of Kinnerley, Melverley, Knockin, Maesbrook and Maesbury, in the Diocese of Lichfield. We aim to work together for the benefit of all parishioners within our communities.
