Melverley Church News

SEPTEMBER

Radio Shropshire

On 16th July Adam Green from Radio Shropshire visited Melverley church as part of his early evening programme ‘Living On The Edge’. Lynne Lloyd and Sue Gittins showed Adam around the church describing the churches’ varied history and more recent renovations. During his visit Adam also spoke to Revd Chris Precious, our new Rector for the Benefice, about his new role and what it was like to be working ‘On The Edge’ of the county. Revd Chris also made a good attempt at reading from the churches’ James 1st chained bible! The programme was broadcast on 30th July and should still be available on catch up.

Church grounds

So many visitors during the year remark on the well-kept church. We have a rota for cleaning and flowers but need help outside. Is anyone willing to help on a rota with cutting and strimming the church grounds? Thank you. Sue 01691682315
